Samuel Pascal Redfern

Founder & President

Samuel Pascal Redfern was born in West Glacier, Montana and raised in Lolo, Montana. He currently serves as the Founder & Chairman of the NGO United States of Hope (USOH). He also serves as President of the Board for Montana based HorsePower Inc. and Herd 2 Human as well as Chairing the boards of MVBA and AVO. Sam is an OIF/OEF Combat Veteran and did tours in CASWA/Iraq in the Chaplain Corps. He served in the Army for 15 years as a Non Commissioned Officer with an Honorable Discharge receiving 3 Army Commendation Medals and the Combat Action Badge. He is an alumnus of Patrick Henry College, CKC, NVCC & the University of Montana. The eldest of 10 children he is also a home school alumnus and school choice advocate.

Sam is a highly sought after speaker and advocate on Veterans, Military, Education and Vetrepreneur issues. He owns 2 small businesses named Montana VW and MontAfrica LLC. He is the former Montana State Director for Concerned Veterans for America (CVA) and Concerned Veterans for America Foundation (CVAF) and was a Washington DC lobbyist and businessman for 15 years with the Home School Legal Defense Association, American DreamScapes, American DreamVestors, the United States Congress and served as a Congressional Action Program Manager. Sam sold his Virginia companies to start USOH and is now focused on the launch of MVA. Sam ran as a Montana Congressional Candidate in the 2017 Montana Special Election. He also has coached numerous sports teams including basketball for Patrick Henry College and NVCC. He captains the USOH Warrior Basketball and Soccer clubs and coaches his daughters sports team. Sam is the founder of American Warrior Team Hunts © and Montana Warrior Team Hunts © elite outdoor recreation programs for Veterans sponsored by MVA and run by USOH. Sam has recently started a Veterans Economic development company in Montana to promote vetreprenership, commerce and trade for Veterans and Military.

Samuel has served as a senior advisor for several business, non-profits, political campaigns and is active in his local church. As a Montana native he enjoys reading, hunting, fishing, hiking, traveling, and recreating across the American West especially right here in Big Sky Country. Most of all he loves a healthy sense of humor. He resides with his bride and three beautiful, strong daughters Eve, Alexa and Sarai in Missoula Montana.

Matt Amble

Chief Financial Officer (CFO) & Treasurer

Matt serves his community as Director of Military and Veterans Affairs at USOH. Matt has extensive experience in project management serving as a project manager for Boeing as well as a Captain in the Montana Army National Guard. He has deployed to Iraq as a Chinook Pilot. He also serves on several Montana boards including Horsepower Inc., Joint Operation Mariposa (JOM) and the United States of Hope (USOH) and is CFO for the Montana based USOH Warrior Team Hunt program.

Matt grew up in Grand Forks, North Dakota. In 2002 Matt moved to Missoula, MT, and then resided in WA from 2004-2019. In April 2019 Matt moved to Helena, MT where he currently resides. In Matt’s spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife Rachel, and dog Edward. He also enjoys golfing, snowboarding, and travel. Matt has traveled to over 40 US states, as well as China, India, South Korea, Iraq, Kuwait, and UAE. He enjoys investing and believes in FIRE and financial empowerment for our Veterans and Military.

Dr. Al Olszewski

MVA Spokesman & Board Director

Dr. Al was born and raised in Great Falls, Montana and is the great- grandson of farmers and miners who pioneered Blaine and Judith Basin counties. He is the oldest of seven children and says his parents dedicated their lives to raising his siblings in a loving faith-filled home. Old Montana ethics including working hard, giving your best effort and serving others were taught by example. He is active in his church and charitable organizations and is the father of 6 children and a dedicated husband and community leader.

For 13 years, Dr. Al proudly served in the United States Air Force performing duties as a flight surgeon at Sheppard AFB and as a rapid mobility trauma surgeon at Lackland AFB. He provided orthopedic care to the wounded warriors of the First Persian Gulf War and participated as an early response trauma surgeon in many disaster relief efforts to include the 1995 Oklahoma City Bombing, the 1996 Air Crash in Manta, Ecuador, and the 2010 Haiti earthquake. He currently serves in Flathead county as an independent orthopedic surgeon practicing in Kalispell for over 22 years.

Dr. Al is the State Senator for District 6, which surrounds the Flathead Lake in Northwest Montana and is a former State Representative for House District 11. Dr. Al has advocated for Veterans in the State Legislature, and in Washington DC. Through his role at MVA and other leadership positions he will continue to champion for our brothers and sisters that returned from serving our Country less than whole. His passion is serving his family, his patients, his community, and veterans throughout Montana.

Jim Peterson

Vice President & Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Jim served in the United States Air Force as Load Master with C-141. Jim had missions in Vietnam and South East Asia in 1970-1971. Jim is a graduate of CSU Sacramento with degrees in Criminal Justice and Business Administration and made Montana his home in 1991 with his wife Debbie. They have been married for 47 years and have four married adult children and 10 grandchildren.

Jim spent 2 decades in the auto industry and 18 of those years in Kalispell Montana. He was voted Businessman of the year by the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce in 2015 and served as COO of NxGen located in Whitefish Montana. Jim and his partners sold his company to a private equity group in 2019. Jim is now retired and is very focused on civic, community and veteran organizations.

Jim is active in his parish and with the Knights of Columbus. Jim believes in serving God and Country (in that order) and he remain eternally grateful to both for the life he has lived and been granted. Now, Jim feels he has has a responsibility to see to it that the opportunities he has benefited from in his career remain for those whose lives and futures are just now beginning. He truly wants to give back to Montana and our Veterans.

Stephanie Dwyer

Executive Director & Board Secretary

Stephanie grew up in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley where she was home schooled in a Christian family and attended college in Missoula. For 9 years she lived in Billings where she began her real estate career in 2012 and returned to Missoula in 2017. Prior to real estate, she worked for Kinetic Marketing & Creative, a company that specializes in branding, messaging and design. Stephanie comes from a Military family and has a brother currently serving on Active Duty with the US Army. She has a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Montana State University Billings and is a Griz Alumni of the University of Montana. She has served on several boards and non-profit committees in Montana.

Stephanie has two young children with her husband who works in the Banking industry and is a Griz football alumni. She enjoys fly fishing, floating, snowboarding and – because she’s a total foodie – she loves Montana backroad trips and discovering hole-in-the-wall places to eat. Stephanie also loves interior design, a good chuckle, Griz football and is an economics nerd. She leans libertarian on policy because she strongly believes in the freedoms that our Veterans sacrificed for.

Matt Pitzer

Political Director

Matt Pitzer was born in Arizona, growing up all over the United States before coming to Bozeman for college and calling Montana forever home. Matt received his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Montana State University rounding out our great team of Cat/Griz alumni.

Matt has worked for the people of Montana fighting for Montana values, as a Montana State Senate Aide and in Congress working for Representative Ryan Zinke, as well as in the House Committee on Natural Resources. He also has extensive campaign experience and working with the Montana Legislature. Matt is excited to work hard for those who have served our country and the great state of Montana and will stand with those that protect the freedoms they are fighting for. He will work hard to engage Veterans on key issues and lead/organize to advance good policy.

Matt resides in Great Falls, Montana with his girlfriend and their dog. He enjoys fly fishing and walking around the river. He is a big sports fan, watching almost any sport when it is on. Most of all Matt enjoys time spent with family and friends and finding ways to grill the best food possible.
